Use this search form to identify and list particular EMMA mouse mutant strains.
To search, enter a query in the search box, select one specific search field or "All Strain Description Fields", then click "Search" to submit the query.
You can input a single text entry. The search is case insensitive.
The search will return a list of strains whose (selected) description fields contain one or more exact matches to the query, listed in the format:
EMMA ID (International Strain Designation)
You can click on any listed EMMA ID link to display the relevant strain description page.

Strain description fields:
- Affected Gene (name or symbol): Symbol or name for a mouse mutated gene or expressed transgene. Enter all or part of a gene or transgene symbol or name. Your search will retrieve any strain whose mutated gene or expressed transgene symbol or name contains one or more times the exact sequence of characters entered. You can check the correct mouse gene and transgene symbols and names searching the MGI database (http://www.informatics.jax.org/).
- International Strain Designation: International designation for a mouse mutant strain. Enter all or part of a strain designation. Allele symbols that are in superscript text in international designations can be searched using "angle brackets" to define superscripts, for example: Foxb1<tm1Pgr>. Your search will retrieve any strain whose international designation contains one or more times the exact sequence of characters entered.
- Common Strain Name: Common name or synonyms for a mouse mutant strain. Enter all or part of a strain name or synonym. Superscript text in common names or synonyms can be searched using "angle brackets" to define superscripts, for example, Pax6<Sey/+>. Your search will retrieve any strain whose name or synonyms contains one or more times the exact sequence of characters entered.
- Phenotype Description: Phenotype description text for a mouse mutant strain. Enter a query in the search box. You can input a single text entry. Your search will return any strain whose phenotype description contains one or more exact matches to the query.
- Emma ID: unique Strain ID for an EMMA mouse mutant strain (in alphanumeric format, e.g. EM:11111). Enter a complete or partial strain ID value. Your search will return any strain whose Emma ID contains one or more exact matches to the query.
